Mercedes-Benz DRIVE Training Program for Automotive Technicians
Together with the U.S. Department of Labor and Department of Veterans Affairs, Mercedes-Benz has recently become the first luxury automotive company to give individuals the opportunity to take part in a Registered Apprenticeship Program, allowing them to receive flexible and structured on-the-job training. What is Mercedes-Benz DRIVE?
Mercedes-Benz is now offering a comprehensive 16-week training program for vehicle technicians. The program is open to both veteran and non-veteran individuals who are looking to begin successful careers as technicians at authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers. Training areas include brakes, traction, service maintenance, telematics, E-Mobility, diagnostics, and a wide array of electrical essentials. Also included with the program is a course in career development, which is designed to help trainees become accustomed to working in the car service industry.
Although Mercedes-Benz DRIVE is currently only offered at locations in California, Texas, Florida, and Massachusetts, the certifications gained through the program will be recognized at all authorized Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the U.S. Upon completion of the training program, individuals will receive certificates from MBUSA as well as the U.S. Department of Labor.
