Mercedes-AMG® Expected to Offer Smaller, More Affordable Performance Cars
In an effort to provide a few more affordable options for drivers interested in luxury performance vehicles, Mercedes-AMG® is expected to introduce a second AMG® model for its smaller cars. This new option will reside below the AMG® 45 models that are already available for the CLA and European A-Class.
Mercedes-AMG® CLA and A-Class Models
“We will complement our successful 45 models with two versions like we do with our larger cars.”
– Tobias Moers, Mercedes-AMG® chairman
Although both the Mercedes-Benz CLA and A-Class currently come in AMG® 45 models, the automaker plans to add a smaller, more affordable option for each vehicle. Much like larger Mercedes-Benz models are available in AMG® 43 and AMG® 63 variants, the automaker wants to give drivers two performance-tuned options, each with unique features and capabilities.
